It's that time of the year again, when those red "obiang" decorations start surfacing on the streets, in homes, shops, everywhere!
This year, I'm still not in the festive mood - probably because I've not even gotten over the Xmassy mood (c'mon, we just had 2 rounds of celebrations in Dec! and CNY this year came earlier!).
So it was with a wee bit of panic when it dawned upon me that I only have about two weeks to go, and so many things left undone.
I've not put up the CNY deco yet (heck, I've not even kept my Xmas tree!), changed new notes for ang paos, bought new clothes, ordered any food for the reunion dinners... the list goes on.
In fact, I've just settled back into my work routine (after two whole weeks of holidays, believe me, it's really hard!) and getting reacquainted with the OL life. And for reasons unknown (most probably it's work, or the thought of it), I've been feeling really tired at the end of each work day - too tired to even indulge in my favourite activity of all time, shopping (yes, surprise surprise!).
This year's reunion dinner for the fam will be extra significant, because the Empress Dowager will be jetting off down under soon after, so this will be one of the last few times that I get to indulge in her cooking. I'm looking forward to it, but definitely not welcoming the thought of all the preparations prior to D-day.
Guess I'll have to start moving my butt and tick off the list of items on my to-do list. First up, the deco. Hopefully I'll be able to get them up over the weekends...
Later!
